What have I learnt?
This week is shorter than others. Some of us present their architectural photography. I get to know how to do better on architectural photography. Landscape photography has been introduced to our class this week. Personally, I think i will like landscape photography better since there will be less rule when you take pictures. Lighting, weather, foreground are really important in landscape pictures. I missed one of the video on Wednesday, which I heard it talked about photography tips.

Week6-What I learn
On wednesday, we saw some of the presentations from our classmates. I got some feedback, and I know that I need to pay attention to lighting when I take my pictures. In class, we slightly talked about the coming project, night photography project, and started getting some clue of the location we wanted to shoot.

Landscape-3shots
1.)Columbia River, a horizontal panorama picture.
2.)Rose garden, although there will probably be no rose right now. I am trying to get some picture of its plants.
3.) Many some area near West linn, a macro photograph of the nearby scene.
That's my plan, but I am not sure I will make it for sure.

Week 4
Ansel Adams is one of the most famous photographers in America. He spent lots of times running from places to places to shoot landscape photographs. His photographs have great composition and present true American scene to the world. Indeed, people know more about the area they reside when they see Adams' photographs. Like most other photographers, he always composes the pictures in his eyes before he actually takes out his camera. It is significant to photographers that time and weather of the photo is captured. Golden time, which means dawn or dusk, will be the best time to press the shutter. It is true that all elements in the landscape photographers seem really important, and that is why photographers normally focus as many elements as possible. However, photo will be more interesting if shallow depth of field or foreground technique is added to the photo.
Frankly speaking, I did not put as much effort as I planned into this assignment. One of the reason is I was being procrastinating. Another one is I was getting disappointed when I got into trouble of shooting interior pictures. It is interesting to learn about the creative aspects of shooting architectural photography. Especially, when we analyses the element of photography in class.

Week 2-What I learned
This week, we are still on the process of learning architectural photography. Some of us started working on our architecture project. I still struggled with finding the right exposure for architectural photos. Changing the shutter speed or aperture, I tried to make my photo look better by doing those. We had a chance to take architectural photos around campus. Composition is the key point to make architectural pictures to look more interesting. Rather than showing the audiences a picture of building, a creative aspect of architectural photo can express an emotion to the audiences. I took one picture in the locker room downstairs. It has a blurry background while one of the locker is in focus. I enjoy this picture because it emphasizes one locker instead of showing all the lockers at once. The reflection cast by the flash on the camera makes the picture more interesting. I also used the basic image adjustment to edit some of the pictures, in order to make more color contrast in the picture.
